However, to solve this issue, you should follow the methods:

1.) The Taskbar Is Missing:

Sometimes the taskbar on windows 10 disappears, to solve this you have to use the command prompt.

Press the Windows + X key, as the quick launch menu opens, click on command prompt (Admin) and write this command:

DISM/Online/Cleanup-Image/RestoreHealth

This command will hopefully bring back your taskbar.

2.) The Taskbar Is Frozen

The taskbar on Windows 10 becomes frozen or unclickable sometimes. To solve windows 10 taskbar not working you have to take help of the taskbar.

There are various method to fix the  frozen taskbar depending on the reason:

a.) Fix Through The Task Manager

  • Press the Window + R key to open run prompt and type taskmgr.exe and press enter.
  • As the task manager opens up, under the process tab scroll down and look for Windows Explorer.
  • Select windows explorer and click restart button in the bottom right corner.
  • Restart Your System.

b.) Fix By Rebooting In Clean Boot State

Windows 10 taskbar may also get stuck when some file explorer add-ons interfere with the functioning of explorer.exe

To solve this issue restart your pc in clean boot state and try to locate the offender by selecting one at a time.

As soon as you identify the add-on causing this problem, disable the addon

c.) Fix Through Drivers

If your Pc does not come with Windows 10 initially and you are experiencing this problem after updating your system to windows 10, then there might be an issue with the driver.

To Fix this, you must update a driver or find a supported driver with windows 10 version.

d.)  Create A New User Account

If you have tried all the steps above and still experiencing the problem, then you must try this option, and that is to create a new user account

Follow these steps to create a new user account:

  • Open Setting
  • Click On Accounts
  • Navigate To Family And Other Users
  • Select Add Someone else to this PC



e.) Fix Through The Command Prompt

If it does not get fixed through the methods above, then you are in quite a serious problem, though the solution is not complicated, but you have to lose your apps if you choose to fix through command prompt.

  • Open the command prompt as demonstrated in step 1.
  • Type the following command and hit enter:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
